Question
I
won't start my indoor project for months but I've got some seedlings
that I'm growing outdoors on the balcony.
The seeds were middle grade sativa and I live in southern
California. Tell me,
when should the plants indicate male/female?
Answer
Plants
usually show their sexes at about two - three feet in height. Look
for calixes with split hairs coming out of them.
Question
When
do the days get shorter than 12 hours so that outdoor plants start
budding?
Answer
The
days get shorter in September when it's fall. The sun gives us less
daylight and it turns its spectrum from a yellow glow to an orangey
glow.
Question
A
friend told me that if the roots or leaves of the plants touch it
can make females convert to males.
Is this a myth or the truth?
Answer
That is false. If the roots touch then they will
choke each other out and you will not get the best results from your
plants and if the leaves touch then moisture can form from the
condensation in the air causing water to form and making brown burnt
spots on the leaves but proper ventilation will cure the humidity
levels in a room
